The Position:

  • Promoting & ensuring safety.
  • Understanding & complying with all MSHA regulations. Works closely with all team members, including safety department, to ensure a safe workplace.
  • Ensuring compliance with all environmental needs & requirements.
  • Building and maintaining a first-class culture consistent with company values.
  • Preparing site and processing budgets ensuring optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Developing, directing & overseeing all material processing operations, including, but not limited to: Production schedule, performance goals, product allocations, inventory management & product specifications.
  • Understanding all site related equipment needs; optimize fleet performance & utilization.
  • Working with land resource department to develop and manage short-term and long-term site operations plans. Execute established mine plan efficiently and accurately.
  • Directing & supporting site foreperson on planning and implementation of the production and operations plans.
  • Providing continuous training, coaching, mentoring & development of site employees.
  • Coordinating and managing completion of necessary site work including stripping and overburden management.
  • Coordinating with drilling and blasting manager for all drilling and blasting needs for the site.
  • Managing subcontractors when performing work on site.
  • Scoping, budgeting, managing, and completing all approved capital improvement projects within budget.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices, assigning costs to proper sites or jobs.
  • Preparing monthly production inventory booking in accordance with budget and monthly inventory reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  • Completing special projects as assigned.
  • Always ensuring professional appearance and aesthetics of site.

The Candidate:

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in crushing and washing production and quarry management in the aggregate and or mining industry.
  • Must be safety oriented including detailed knowledge of the Mine Safety & Health Administration safety regulations, compliance and inspection process required.
  • Experience with all aspects of quarry operations management including permitting, earthmoving, crushing and washing production, load out and subcontractor management.
  • Moderate to advanced understanding of mining equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train, coach and develop personnel.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HCSS HeavyBid, HeavyJob, and Equipment360 software knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with AggFLOW preferred.
  • Willingness to provide or obtain aggregate material testing certifications as required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Primary location greater Milwaukee WI Area with the ability to travel locally and regionally.
  • Must be a team player.
