Public Health Department at St. Catherine University invites applications for a 9-month full-time, tenure-track position. This position is scheduled to begin in the Fall term of 2025.
The Public Health program at St. Catherine University is distinguished by its unique internship
opportunities, diverse student body, and emphasis on women's global health issues. St. Catherine's
public health bachelor's degree program is the first undergraduate program in Minnesota to receive accreditation from The Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). The purpose of this position is to teach and advise undergraduate public health students, provide service to the department, university, and profession, and engage in scholarship and scholarly work. This position also has the opportunity to teach at the graduate level.
Responsibilities include:
- Communicate frequently with the department leaders and/or coordinators for updates or changing course information.
- Support departmental advising of undergraduate students and contribute to departmental service
- Communicate respectfully and build relationships of trust with people of all cultures and abilities, affirming the worth and preserving the dignity of individuals, families, and communities.
- Consistent with the university's Catholic identity, its commitment to women, diversity, inclusion, social justice, and dedication to a liberal arts-based curriculum, faculty are expected to manifest these themes in their teaching, service, and accomplishments.
Salary range: $59,000 - $64,500

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate to pay for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.

Minimum Qualifications - Experience teaching college-level students or working as a graduate teaching assistant in public health or a closely related field
- Earned doctorate in public health or related field. ABD applicants will be considered, but a doctorate must be awarded on the transcript before the offer of the position.
- Interest and/or experience working collaboratively (interdisciplinary)
Preferred Qualifications - A terminal degree (Ph.D., Dr.P.H., or equivalent), U.S. or Foreign Equivalent, in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related health field.
- At least one year of experience in conducting and disseminating peer-reviewed research, with the potential to develop a robust research agenda
- Experience teaching biostatistics, epidemiology, and/or environmental health
- Experience with online and hybrid instruction of college-level courses
- Familiarity and experience with program accreditation standards and processes
- Experience mentoring diverse student populations
