JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to join our Wright Buick GMC Chevrolet team in Wexford, Pennsylvania. The Automotive Controller is a critical individual-contributor role in ensuring the most effective and efficient operations of the dealership's accounting and finance departments. Our Automotive Controller position is a full-time, salaried role offering competitive benefits including- but not limited to- health, dental and vision insurance, profit sharing, 401K, and vacation/PTO. RESPONSIBILITIES •Responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of all financial statements and reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)•Lead, develop, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls •Close monthly operating statements and generate weekly sales and financial statements for the dealership •Communicate regularly with the all departments to ensure accurate data capture and storage •Perform high-level financial analyses and complete profitability reports •Ensure compliance with the dealership's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and local and federal financial and accounting regulations •Assist in the preparation and submission of financial reports to corporate office •Assist with preparation and tracking of the dealership budget •Maintain an orderly accounting filing system •Perform other accounting and finance duties as required REQUIREMENTS •Degree in Accounting or related field •Minimum five years of progressively advanced experience in automotive accounting and finance •Advanced knowledge of GAAP, especially as it relates to motor vehicles operations and CPA license preferred •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills •Experience working with financial software •Expert in MS Excel spreadsheet development •Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines •Ability to work independently EEOC STATEMENT Wright Buick GMC Chevrolet is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
