CAD Designer – Petersburg, VA

The company builds strong relationships with the employees, customers and venders alike. Triad Metals is seeking an CAD Designer to join our exceptional team.
An associate project coordinator is responsible for planning and allocating resources, preparing estimates, monitoring progress of jobs, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.
Successful Candidates will be expected to:

• Produce Shop drawings and 3 dimensional models in Tekla Structures
• Organizing and maintaining a digital file database for each project
• Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 3D model development, completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, and drafting using CAD platforms.
• Facilitating and ensuring the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team
• Communicating with other team members during the 3D model and plan production
• Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance and quality control procedures are followed during drawing, planning and production
• Work to meet project schedules
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications/Required Experience

• Familiar with Solid Works, SDS2, Tekla, Creo, or other 3D CAD software preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
• Accuracy
• Reliability
• Minimum 1 year working experience preferred but not mandatory
• Entry-level/Mid-Level, will train candidate on Tekla Structures software
• Certificate from a technical center or have obtained a minimum 2 yr college degree in drafting.
