Tossd is our latest concept. Tossd serves chef-driven health-concious salads and bowls, fresh baked bread and freshly made juices. We are a new concept and are growing rapidly. Currently we have a store in Pleasant Grove and our original, iconic trailer in Vineyard.

We are looking for a versatile and well-organized Catering Manager to oversee and grow our event catering services. As a Catering Coordinator, you will work with customers to book an event, finalize sales contracts and ensure that catering order forms reflect customer requirements. Your duties will include planning menus woith customers, working with commissary staff on event orders, organizing venues and equipment, hiring and training catering staff, preparing and delivering catering orders. To be successful as a Catering Coordinator, you should possess experience in event catering and delivering cost-effective services.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Planning:
  • Determining customer requirements and proposing catering options
  • Negotiating prices and preparing meticulous catering order forms
  • Planning menus and overseeing venue, equipment, food, and service preparations
  • Hiring, training, and supervising catering staff, as well as scheduling employee shifts
  • Researching catering trends and promoting competitive catering services
Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with commissary staff to ensure catering events are planned in advance and on the commissary calendar
  • Plan with General Manager for staffing needed for each event.
  • Coordinate respectfully with companies that share catering vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with catering staff and other kitchen team members.
Inventory Management:
  • Assist in inventory control by monitoring and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Report any shortages or discrepancies to the manager.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect food for quality and freshness before it is served.
  • Ensure that all dishes served at events meet established quality standards.
  • Work efficiently to meet service demands and maintain timely service.
  • Ensure the food and employees at each event meet Tossd brand standards.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, catering van, equipment, and utensils.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year working in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or other related fields
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality industry required
  • Financial and Business skills a plus!
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and cooking methods.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Team player mentality with strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record
