Job Description Pool: Certified Flight Instructor 3: Aviation
Position Summary
This is a pool posting with a rolling application period that will continue through August 12, 2025.
Qualified applicants may be hired from this pool on an ongoing basis.
Job Duties include:
1. Provides ground and flight instruction in accordance with Part 141 Syllabus and FARs
2. Reviews, studies, applies FAR revisions, additions, and changes
3. Verifies completeness and accuracy of student log books and training needs
4. Ensures students are prepared and scheduled for stage checks
5. Ensures student compliance with all policies and procedures of the Aviation Department and the FAA to include ground and flight safety
Minimum Qualifications The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree. In addition, applicants must have FAA certifications and licenses showing experience and ratings as a Commercial Pilot, Instrument Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Instrument Flight Instructor and Certified Flight Instructor-Multiengine with a minimum 500 hours, 250 hours PIC and 75 hours of actual or simulated instrument time.
Preferred Qualifications Experience instructing in any field, 800 flight hours, 500 hours PIC, and 100 hours of actual or simulated instrument time
