Job Description

Our client is an aggressively growing commercial real estate private equity firm that is looking to add a early career real estate analyst to their team. The ideal candidate will most like come from a national brokerage team and looking to transition to private equity. This role will be a combination of assisting acquisitions and asset management.

• Perform underwriting and financial modeling for acquisitions, developments, and dispositions for Commercial Real Estate properties
• Perform modeling of investments including discounted cash flows, monthly operating projections, joint venture structures and waterfalls, multi-layer financing, sensitivity analyses, and modification of existing models to accommodate unique deal-by-deal requirements.
• Research market data and other resources to support underwriting assumptions.
• Prepare Investment Committee Memorandums.
• Manage due diligence process, including third party reports, market studies, site visits, etc.
• Coordinate and facilitate the effective closing of a transaction by communicating with partners, maintaining internal checklists, tracking outstanding issues, and assisting other internal departments (including legal, capital markets, and construction).
• Support verticals with refinancing, disposition, and recapitalization efforts.
• Engage, with support of directors, with broker community to understand climate of specific verticals & track sales data.
• Compile, analyze, and develop an interpretation on the status of real estate markets across the country. This includes a detailed analysis of competitive properties, sales valuations, supply and demand fundamentals, and demographics.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics or similar business-related field, or equivalent experience/education preferred
• 1-3years commercial real estate acquisitions experience either Broker or Buyer side.
• New Grads welcome, if internship and education are aligned
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• High proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office programs
