Job Summary:

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and organizing up to $1 million projects from origination to completion. Construction Manager will work closely with the Vice President of Real Estate to prepare comprehensive action plans and collaborate with external and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines and on budget.

Job Responsibilities

* Hires, develops, coaches and creates a cohesive, high-performance culture with employee and external talent (e.g. contractors) by effectively setting and managing performance measures.

* Performs activities necessary for effective administrative management of department, including budget administration and proforma assistance; sets targets and standards for productivity, safety, cost, regulatory compliance, inventory control, and purchasing.

* Effectively develops and manages projects consisting of comprehensive project plans, risk analysis, proper documentation, reporting, target setting, and meeting performance standards while completing projects on time and within budget.

* Oversees and manages construction sites, contractors, and employees to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

* Maintains accurate records pertaining to materials, equipment, fleet, safety, maintenance, contractors, and employees.

* Collaborates with senior market leadership to align on resourcing to ensure CCO projects/installations are completed on time.

* Conduct inspections to ensure quality and safety standards and requirements are met.

* Monitors, audits, and reports on compliance with OSHA, EPA, MTA, DOT, and company safety regulations.

* Collaborates with multiple departments (i.e., Real Estate, Finance, Operations) to set priorities, effectively manage projects, and analyze risks for all capital and revenue generating projects.

* Prepares and submits Railroad Development packages where required. Provides reports on transit projects.

* Represents the company at inquiries, inspections, etc., as appropriate.

* Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education and Certifications

* Bachelor's degree in construction management preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience.

* Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a plus

Work Experience

* Ten (10) + years of experience in construction/ project management

* Experience successfully managing internal and external teams.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).

* Familiar with MTA, NY DOT, NYC DOT, CT DOT and local building requirements.

* OOH construction and deployment management experience preferred.

* Experience in project management, from conception to delivery

* An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, engineering drawings, and step-by-step action plans

* Strong client-facing and teamwork skills

* Demonstrated leadership experience, including experience building and nurturing a team.

* Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills and able to balance multiple priorities.

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

* Able to partner successfully with internal and external groups

* Able to negotiate contracts with vendors that support CCOA and client goals.

Additional Job Description

New York City Salary Range: : $120,000.00 to $170,000.00
