The Product Security Engineer position is critical to the success of Thermo King’s core products. Thermo King is focused on the transportation of food, pharmaceuticals, and perishables, delivering efficient and reliable transportation solutions. The Product Security Engineer will work on the creation and implementation of secure embedded software that will support multiple refrigeration and mobile HVAC applications. The Product Security Engineer will be responsible for developing and capturing requirements, writing software, coordinating implementation, and working with the team to deliver product security goals. You will work with other team members and leadership to ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to the development and execution of the business and portfolio strategy. Where is the work:  

This position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule with work performed onsite 3 days each week in Bloomington, MN . 

What you will do:

\n
• Responsible for identifying and decomposing product security requirements into backlog work items.

\n
• Responsible for writing software to implement these requirements.

\n
• Responsible for driving security activities such as Threat modeling, Security DFMEA, Penetration testing, Attack Modeling and attack stories to completion.

\n
• Review, recommend and implement assessment updates on projects as needed to counteract new threats and mitigate vulnerabilities.

\n
• Act as the primary point of contact between the team and Security and Compliance Leader.

\n

What you will bring:

\n
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field

\n
• 2+ years of experience in Embedded Systems Development

\n
• 2+ years of experience with Product Security

\n
• Experience with Linux based embedded systems development

\n
• Experience with CAN J1939 communication protocol

\n
• Experience with ARM processors

\n
• Familiarity with tools like Coverity, SAST, DAST, Software composition analysis

\n
• Python, C, and C++ programming skills with debugging and troubleshooting skills

\n

Compensation:

Annual base compensation: $67,000 - 118,800
