Eurofins is searching for a Courier in our Fort Lauderdale, Florida (Hollywood, FL) location.

The Courier is primarily responsible for the pick-up and delivery of environmental samples and containers to and from the laboratory. The courier will spend roughly 50% of their day driving a mid-sized company vehicle such as a Toyota Tacoma to and from assigned locations within a 75 mile radius of the laboratory. In addition to basic driving tasks, the courier is also responsible for the following:

• Receive and stock sample collection container and supplies.
• Verifying and maintaining chain of custody for sample containers.
• Prepare sample collection bottle packages.
• Loading and unloading 48 qt coolers filled with ice (30 to 50lbs.)
• Interact with Project Managers and clients in a professional manner
• Maintain logbooks and vehicle maintenance records
• Comply with the Company’s “Driver Evaluation and Qualification Policy”.
• Maintain the shipping/receiving area to ensure a safe work environment.
• Prepare outgoing shipments of bottle kits and coolers for pick-up.
• May be assigned other sample control duties as identified by the Lab Manager

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Ability to use electronic maps (google maps, etc.) and follow directions
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and maintain a good driving record.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English

The ideal candidate would possess :

Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Hollywood, FL are encouraged to apply. 

Pay rate: $18/hr

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
