About the Role
The Company is in search of a Dean of Nursing to lead and oversee its nursing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, ensuring the program meets the needs of the community and healthcare system, and maintaining a culture of excellence, collegiality, and professional development. This role involves serving as the primary representative to various stakeholders, including campus administration, regulatory and accreditation bodies, and advisory committees. Key responsibilities for the Dean of Nursing include curriculum development, program evaluation, and fostering a positive organizational culture that supports the well-being and growth of faculty and students. The Dean will also be involved in recruiting, developing, and mentoring nursing faculty and staff, as well as managing program accreditation and compliance with nursing education standards. Applicants for the Dean of Nursing position at the company must hold an active, unencumbered RN or APRN license and a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field. A minimum of five years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years in a nursing faculty role, is required, along with a minimum of one year in an administrative or management position within nursing education. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong communication and analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to be a positive role model. The role also requires the successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screening, and relevant certifications. The Dean of Nursing will be expected to utilize data-driven decision-making to assess program effectiveness and implement continuous improvements, as well as collaborate with clinical partners to enhance student learning experiences and clinical placements.
