Lou Malnati’s and Tastes of Chicago is seeking a versatile and experienced Product Manager to join our team. This role combines strategic product management with creative visual merchandising to enhance our online presence and drive business growth.

Job Summary: The Digital Product Manager will lead the strategy, development, and daily execution for the Tastes of Chicago website and Lou Malnati’s website and mobile app. This multifaceted role demands a combination of strategic vision, technical proficiency, and creative design expertise to ensure the website aligns with business goals, meets user needs, and adheres to industry standards. This position requires an ability to seamlessly transition between tactical execution and planning, ensuring both immediate and long-term business objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and execute the website and mobile product strategy aligned with business goals and market trends.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform website improvements and innovations.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that outlines timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Define and prioritize website features and enhancements, leveraging user feedback, data analytics, and strategic business objectives.

Visual Merchandising:

  • Develop and implement online visual merchandising strategies to create a compelling and seamless shopping experience.
  • Design and execute timely updates to product listing pages, category pages, and promotional banners that align with marketing campaigns and seasonal themes.
  • Ensure product detail pages are accurate and up-to-date including images, descriptions, and pricing.

Project Management:

  • Maintain a prioritized and clear backlog. Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Oversee the creation of financial models for online initiatives and platform projects including value-at-stake and total cost of ownership assessments. Define and track KPIs to measure business outcomes and team success, while also maintaining budgets for various features.
  • Coordinate with IT, marketing, and 3rd party teams to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.

User Experience and Design:

  • Collaborate with external UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing website and mobile interfaces.
  • Ensure our digital platforms are optimized for usability, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback in partnership with 3rd party agency to continuously improve the website and mobile experience.

Technical Oversight:

  • Work closely with developers to implement website features, troubleshoot issues, and maintain site performance.
  • Ensure the website is secure, scalable, and complies with industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage website analytics tools and platforms to track performance and user behavior.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Analyze website metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement SEO best practices to enhance search engine visibility and organic traffic.
  • Develop and execute A/B testing plans to optimize website/mobile content and features.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management, web development, e-commerce visual merchandising, or a related role.
  • Relevant experience in process improvement, project delivery, business/requirements analysis or business operations/product line
  • Proven track record of managing website and mobile projects from concept to launch.
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, UX/UI design, and SEO principles.
  • Excellent visual design skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing practices and tools.
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Big Commerce Shopify, Magento) and CMS systems.
