About the Role:
You will be the primary business development salesperson for the K-12 education market in Ohio, with responsibilities extending to support education sales across the Central Region. Your role involves introducing innovative solutions to districts, guiding them through product adoption, and fostering long-term relationships.
Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive territory plan to achieve specific revenue targets, identifying priority districts and strategic approaches.
Introduce product solutions to districts and oversee the entire process from conceptualization to revenue recognition.
Identify and cultivate new funding sources within districts, establishing presence with key stakeholders.
Organize and host pivotal events such as trade shows, executive visits, and channel training sessions.
Contribute insights to strategic consortiums, training centers, and Department of Educations (DOEs).
Required Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset to work effectively with the Regional Manager, Channel Manager, Inside Account Manager, Demand Generation, and Professional Development Specialist.
Profound knowledge of products and software, coupled with the ability to swiftly adapt to new solutions.
Capable of delivering confident presentations to large audiences, demonstrating expertise in both hardware and software as presentation tools.
Strong educational background or prior teaching experience preferred.
High proficiency in technology usage and a self-driven attitude towards acquiring new skills.
Supervision and Collaboration:
This field-based role operates independently with guidance from the Regional Manager, involving regular one-on-one discussions and occasional travel within the region.
Working Conditions:
Remote position requiring autonomous work from a home office, with extensive travel across the assigned territory for meetings and product demonstrations.
Ability to obtain a passport and travel to Canada as needed.
Compliance with all district-level background check requirements for working in K-12 environments.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, education, marketing, or a related field.
Preferably, previous experience as an educator.
Proven track record in sales forecasting and achieving sales targets within a fast-paced, technology-driven industry.
Experience interacting with educators and a knack for building lasting relationships with key decision-makers.
Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and effective time management.
Additional Requirements:
Valid passport or the ability to obtain one without restrictions for travel, including to Canada.
Expectation of approximately 70% travel time across North America.
