Title: EHS Specialist
Location:  Columbus, OH
Salary: $70,000- $85,000/year + Bonus

Position Overview
The EHS Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations in the workplace. This role focuses on promoting a safe and healthy work environment while minimizing environmental impact and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with EHS regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to enhance workplace safety and environmental protection.
• Provide training and resources to employees on EHS practices and procedures.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
• Assist in the investigation of incidents and accidents, preparing reports and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local EHS regulations and standards, ensuring the company remains compliant.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with hazardous waste management and chemical safety practices.
• Excellent communication and training skills to promote EHS awareness among employees.
• Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, or similar) is preferable.
