Employment Consultant, Part-Time with Benefits
We are looking for a self-starter dedicated to lifelong learning and are passionate for teaching individuals with disabilities so they can succeed in the workforce. Part time positions available, with benefits.
Responsibilities include:
• Assessing and documenting participant’s skills, needs, and interests to determine appropriate employment opportunities and supports needed
• Researching, developing, and creating internships and employment opportunities
• Developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, human resources groups, and employment networks
• Providing job coaching
Education, Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree in Education or Psychology, preferred.
• Customer service, sales or training experience preferred.
• Basic technology/email skills required
• Experience working with individuals with different learning styles and abilities preferred.
• Must want to work one on one with individuals be excited to make a difference in the lives of others!
• Two years of experience working in employment, job coaching and/or resume building
Conditions of Employment:
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
• Hours vary week to week. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed. Can plan own schedule around supporting the employment needs of participants. $1 additional per hour for job coaching after 6pm or weekends.
