Over the course of these years, Newark has undergone many product portfolio changes since it first began as Stuart Pharmaceuticals through today as the designated AZ North America Packaging Center of Excellence and a Flexible Formulation site for the global supply of complex products. The site provides a collaborative environment where everyone feels comfortable and able to be themselves is at the core of AstraZeneca’s priorities.The Facilities Manager is responsible ensuring that all assets throughout the Facility are operating and maintained such that there are no disruptions to production operations at the site. This individual has responsibility for independent decision making while overseeing operations across multiple shifts – 24/7.
This position also requires extensive collaboration within the SEFM team, PETs, responsible engineers/System Owners and OEM/contract service suppliers to optimize quality and performance of the operation. As a responsible leader, they must maintain effective employee relations and compliance to cGMP, other regulatory requirements as well as SHE obligations and AstraZeneca Standards.What you will do:Accountable for scheduling and directing PM, reactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, and predictive maintenance activities for Facilities Maintenance across all shifts.Coordination of technical resources for electrical and mechanical equipment and system troubleshootingAs system owner for key utility and facility systems, drive continuous improvement programs such as maintenance excellence to deliver improvements in asset reliability, availability, and costs.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma with 12 years Facilities experience OR a BS in engineering or related field Minimum of 4 years previous supervisory or facilities management experienceMinimum of 7 years experience in GMP or regulated production with specific responsibility for equipment performanceAbility to direct and participate in cross-functional teamsPreferred Qualifications:Working knowledge of TDMS, Microsoft applications, SAPTraining or experience in the applicable following technologies: mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler house operation, vacuum technology, electronics, programmable logic controllers, refrigeration, test equipment for electrical and mechanical trouble shooting, HVAC, controlled environmentExperience in Six Sigma/ analytical trouble shooting skillsExperience working in a LEAN manufacturing environmentWorking SAP and Microsoft applicationsWhy AstraZeneca?At AstraZeneca, we 're dedicated to being a Great Place to Work.
