RichMusic, one of the top independent record labels in Latin music today, is looking for highly motivated, organized, and enthusiastic interns interested in learning more about the entertainment and music industries. Fall internship runs from Fall 2024 through December 15, 2024.
Mission Statement
To bring out the best in every artist so we can enrich the world with our music.
The 2024 RichMusic Internship Program will allow currently enrolled students to gain first-hand experience in various areas, including but not limited to Artist and Repertoire, Creative Design and Production, Marketing, Social Media, Publishing, Talent Management and Studio Operations/Engineering.

A&R
To assist the A&R Rep. in general administrative duties such as:
- Labeling and uploading Masters.
- Procuring or transcribing song lyrics.
- Assisting in the creation/completion of Label Copies.
- Requesting clean edits for upcoming releases and more.
- Organize G Drive/Dropbox and assist in creating DJ Links, listening links etc.
- Assist in drafting Label Waivers.
- Keeping track of the status of all Producer/Side Artist agreements via the SAA/PA Master Log and filing upon complete execution.
- Take part in legal calls and take notes/update the running meeting logs.
- Listen and filter through submissions.
PRODUCTION
- Support team in all productions ranging from music videos, content shoots and photoshoots.
- Work with internal teams to communicate and deliver assets according to the set release deadlines.
- Assist during the pre-production planning and content shoot days.
- Participate in all creative brainstorming meetings, take meeting notes, and actively participate in the visionary process behind the scenes.
- Help manage interval video database to maintain organization.
- Assign, update and keep track of Basecamp to-dos with internal teams and external vendors.
- Shoot and edit content under the supervision of the Content Creator/Producer and Production/Content Manager.
- Send out weekly notification emails with produced content to internal teams for distribution.
- Log and transfer footage for backup on our NAS System and GDrive.
MARKETING
- Participate in brainstorm meetings for upcoming releases.
- Assist team in creating marketing plans and strategies for each upcoming project.
- Actively research innovative ideas to help plans and strategies come to life.
- Help with community and fan-building initiatives to elevate projects and nurture growth beyond the traditional fan base.
- Participate in campaign strategy and implementation including brand and influencer outreach and communication through email, social media, and online marketing.
- Work with internal and external teams to track the execution of marketing plans.
- Assist in executing post-campaign assessment presentations and case studies.
- Aid in developing and crafting brand narrative and voice.
SOCIAL MEDIA
- Assist in curating content and growing the labels' (and talent) presence on social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- Assist in community management on all platforms.
- Monitor social media platforms and research industry trends.
- Participate in brainstorm sessions and circulate meeting notes after.
- Research influencer marketing strategies and trends.
- Assist with the input of analytical data on a weekly basis.
- Assign and follow up on Basecamp To-Dos.
PUBLISHING
- Assist team in the creation, updating, and organizing of split sheets.
- Collaborate with the admin team to submit confirmed splits to UMPG for song registration with associated PROs.
- Monitor PRO activity for RichMusic's talent roster, including SoundExchange.
- Assist in royalty projects for RichMusic's entire catalog.
TALENT MANAGEMENT
- Organize talent roster folders to maintain updated bios, photos, one sheet, and other promotional materials.
- Research brands and agencies to target for talent roster.
- Update budget spreadsheets given project under the management team's direction.
- Assist in logistic planning for artists' activities, including travel, recording, content shoots, and more.
- Develop decks for potential brand partnerships, agencies, etc.
- Assist label managers in day to day when artist are present or throughout a production day (runner)
- Research marketing strategies for upcoming releases to include in rollout plans.
- Research and analyze data from key markets and similar artists to provide new ideas and resommendations.
STUDIO ENGINEERING
- Assist the engineering team in the studio by maintaining and caring for music studios and recording equipment.
- Set up, calibrate and operate studio recording equipment under supervision of head engineer.
- Prep studios before sessions and break down after sessions under supervision of head engineer.
- Proactively resolve technical issues when they arise under supervision of head engineer.
- Assist clients to their rooms after entering the building.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the control rooms.
- Offsite runs for supplies if needed.
DIGITAL
- Track daily consumption of RichMusic catalog tracks.
- Identify "outlier" increases/decreases in consumption and research the trigger.
- Strategize moments of increased consumption for amplification.
- Daily use of excel sheets.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop digital strategies in support of any active campaigns.
- Optimize DSP presence pre and post-release.
- Explore current trends in music consumption across digital landscapes such as TikTok and DSPs to be included as potential strategy components for upcoming releases.
- Continuous research into new music-related platforms that are having an impact upon the digital landscape.
BRAND PARTNERSHIPS
- Support reporting and tracking of pipelines and partnerships, looking for insights and key takeaways.
- Assist in the upkeep and organization of internal and external sales information.
- Prepare key team and client communications - decks, presentations, and one-pagers.
- Explore marketing trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to add value to sponsorship programs.
- Help organize and plan events.
- Assist on event execution on event days.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining event related documents such as: event budget, run of shows, contact sheets, staff manuals, safety plans, event lay-outs, etc.
- Maintaining, organizing, and reconciling pre and post-event settlements such as expenses and receipts as well as postpartum reports.
PROFESSIONAL DREAMER
