Family Practice Physician
Location Fayetteville, NC 28304
Full job description This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The person in this position will represent DAK Resources, Inc and provide the services outlined below.
VAMC Primary care physicians shall cover the range of Family Practice services as would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility and the standard of care shall be of a quality, meeting or exceeding currently recognized national standards.
B. Key Responsibilities (Critical responsibilities and skills of this position, listed in order of importance)- Clinic appointments and follow-up of labs/imaging/procedures ordered during these appointments, interpretation, phone call consultation from hospitalists and intensivists on inpatients, and availability for case review with nurse practitioners on service.
- Clinic Responsibilities: personnel shall be present and on time for clinic start times as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
- Communication of Test Results: Mechanisms must be in-place to provide notification of test results for patients receiving care in accordance with VHA Directive 1088.
- Communicating Test Results to Providers and Patients.
- Medications: Contract personnel shall follow all established medication policies and procedures. No sample medications shall be provided to patients.
- Discharge education: Provide discharge education and follow up instructions that are coordinated with the next care setting for all emergency department patients.
- Approximately 5% of time will be spent on various administrative tasks, reports, emails, etc.
- Clinic or Operating Room (OR) Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch
- Care coverage will be provided at 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Off hour coverage is not currently required but scheduling is subject to change.
- Other duties as assigned by DAK Resources Inc and Fayetteville VAMC

Basic Requirements/Certifications: - Current, full and unrestricted license in one or more state, commonwealth, territory or DC.
- Applicants who have ever had a license restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily revoked, voluntarily surrendered pending action or denied upon application are not eligible.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician Services by the American Board of Family Practice
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- DEA License
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field within the last five years.
- Previous VA or Military experience preferred but not required.
Education Required: - Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent required. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges: Liaison Committee on Medical Education or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.
Physical Requirements: - Work is normally performed in a typical interior/clinic work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications: - US Citizen (Permanent residents can be discussed on a case-by-case basis)
- Must be local or relocate to project site for the duration of the contract.
- Pass/possess VA Public Trust Clearance

Pay: $181,503.00 - $205,000.00 per year Benefits:
