FSQA Supervisor

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor for our poultry facility located in Englewood, CO. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food safety and quality assurance to ensure that products meet the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science, a solid understanding of food safety principles, and be familiar with industry quality standards and regulations.

Location: Englewood, CO

Salary: $65K-$80K Annually, with overtime opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the department in training and verifying adherence to a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) in line with industry standards, including SQF and HACCP.
• Conduct detailed training for FSQA technicians.
• Manage the quality assurance program, covering areas such as product testing, sanitation procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform regular audits and inspections of production processes to identify and resolve potential quality issues.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 8 hourly employees.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
• Analyze quality data to pinpoint areas for system improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality standards are integrated throughout the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in food science or meat science (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance supervisory role within the food industry.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing quality management systems.
• Strong knowledge of processing, sanitation practices, and relevant regulatory standards (SQF, HACCP).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to work on the manufacturing floor.
• Flexibility with working hours.
• HACCP and/or SQF certification.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
