ESCO CAFÉ is nestled in the hub of Hell’s Kitchen by Restaurant Row, serving fresh smoothies, coffee, pastries and sandwiches. Our customers are long time neighborhood patrons and soon-to-be incoming tourists. ESCO CAFÉ is a division of ESCO PHARMACY, and we greatly value diversity, inclusivity, hospitality and professional growth.

We are a fairly new business and are looking for staff that will be open to play different roles, take on challenges and projects. Staff will work in a small, close knit team preparing foods and drinks, inventory upkeep, and cleaning and sanitation to HACCP guidelines. This is a very friendly, casual work atmosphere with many opportunities for growth and moving up. We see all staff as business partners and encourage you to be involved in creative projects. Responsibilities:

• Following established recipes to prepare, serve food and beverages to guests in fast, efficient and friendly manner.
• Cleaning and organizing work areas, equipment, utensils and service station.
• Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the store
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion regarding food ingredients, availability and pricing.
• Assisting customers to pay for products at the Kiosk self checkout or cashier
• Complying with relevant safety, hygiene and service standards and procedures.
• Perform other restaurant duties as assigned

Working Hours:

• Shift AM: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday: 9:00AM - 5:00PM

​ Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service, food service, or other related fields
• MUST have excellent people skills. Ability to build rapport with guests
• MUST have ability to work independently and being part of a young, fast, efficient team.
• MUST have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic mathematical skills
• MUST be fluent in both Spanish and English
• Plus if fluent in additional languages
• Plus if having proficient understanding of food allergies and modified diets.
• Plus if having proficient understanding of HACCP requirements
• Plus if in current possession of NYC Food Handler License
