Fundraising Marketing Manager As the Fundraising Marketing Manager for the High-Impact Journalism Fund, you will play a crucial role in securing donations that empower journalists at The Philadelphia Inquirer to produce impactful, investigative journalism. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Revenue Generation, Chief Marketing Officer, and The Inquirer's Editorial, Product, and Analytics teams, as well as external stakeholders at The Lenfest Institute. Your work will focus on designing and executing a fundraising strategy that drives support through one-time donations, foundation grants, and corporate sponsorships. What You'll Do Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow donations for the High-Impact Journalism Fund, ensuring alignment with The Philadelphia Inquirer's broader goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Lenfest Institute team members, foundations, corporate sponsors, and community partners. Develop and manage fundraising campaigns across multiple channels (email, on-site, paid media, direct mail, events, etc.) to acquire new one-time donors and engage existing supporters. Collaborate with Lenfest Institute partners and Inquirer Product and Analytics teams to use CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.) to monitor progress toward revenue goals, manage donor information, and identify opportunities for growth. Track and report on fundraising performance, analyzing metrics to inform and optimize future strategies and campaigns. Work closely with Editorial, Product, and Analytics teams at The Inquirer, as well as The Lenfest Institute, to ensure consistent messaging, effective outreach, and successful fundraising initiatives. Lead the fundraising components of Inquirer events (both virtual and in-person) to engage the community and raise awareness of the High-Impact Journalism Fund. Contribute to an inclusive and positive work environment Who We're Looking For Minimum 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a focus on one-time donations, grants, and / or corporate sponsorships. Experience in the journalism or media sector is preferred but not required. Consumer marketing experience is preferred. Ability to craft persuasive appeals and donor communications. Proven ability to manage complex projects, work independently, and meet deadlines. Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar), email marketing platforms (e.g., SailThru), and Google Analytics. Comfort with data analysis and using metrics to guide strategy. Familiarity with digital fundraising tools preferred and understanding of the nonprofit media landscape Ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational and follow-up skills to ensure a positive donor experience.
