GSM - Global Supply Chain Manager Category: Engineering Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-380576 Job Description: The main focus will be managing the operations at a local Contract Manufacturer (CM) from a commercial perspective. Responsibilities include tracking monthly resource and infrastructure costs, being the first level approver after validating the actuals, reviewing and negotiating non-material expenses, and supporting other GSM Managers by placing and tracking Purchase Orders (POs). This role also involves analytics on monthly costs and reporting trends to GSM and AME Leadership. Scope: Manage ongoing costs of labor and infrastructure at a local CM. Understand labor, rent, and resources needed for manufacturing sensors and modules. Utilize spreadsheets for cost tracking and present monthly updates. Create and track POs, ensuring internal approval. Support GSM Manager during budget creation and SOW development. Understand procure-to-pay processes, including POs and invoices. Negotiate ad-hoc purchases at local CM. Support business analytics using monthly data on resources. Assist in the closure of a CM and manage operational tasks. Manage commercials to support Engineering builds at a new CM. Conduct Supplier Meetings for NPI Projects. Collaborate with purchasing and SAP teams to resolve invoicing issues. Understand Bill of Materials (BOM) for forecasting. Review and approve quotes for builds. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications: Top-level understanding of the procurement process. Solid skills in spreadsheets, including pivot tables and dashboards. Discipline in managing and tracking monthly spend. Understanding of contract manufacturing and assembly operations. Self-starter with the ability to understand operational processes quickly. Knowledge of the supply chain landscape in manufacturing systems/sensors. Basic manufacturing process knowledge with excellent communication skills. Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM).
