Description

BASIC FUNCTION : Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department.

MAJOR DUTIES :

•Generates official internal documents such as offer letters, pay rate notices, employment verifications, updates job descriptions.

•Assist & coordinate applicants screen interviews.

•Processes group insurance bills monthly: verifies eligibility of employees and dependents, and generates check requests for payment.

•Adds new hires in Paylocity and creates a Time & Labor Account.

•Coordinated Benefit Enrollment meetings for eligible staff.

•Ensure new hires complete the Relias Learning for OASAS programs and BLR trainings for Housing Programs. Creating onboarding plans and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations

•Submits enrollment forms for all benefits and liaisons with insurance companies regarding enrollments, changes, and terminations, and prepares staff census reports for insurance companies and brokers.

•Generates monthly performance appraisal forms, notifies supervisors of past-due appraisals and generates monthly report of outstanding performance appraisals.

•Coordinates CPR/First Aid/Fire Safety and other trainings for staff and maintains roster of certification renewal due dates.

•Maintains files on all personnel. Records changes in employee status as necessary (i.e. change of address, departmental transfers, COLA, terminations, etc.) and forwards to payroll department for update.

•Completes requests for employment verifications as needed.

•Updates all licenses and degrees and requests copies of certificates for Human Resources files.

•Updates Justice Center website as needed.

•Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

SCHEDULE: M-F 8:30AM-4:30PM.

RATE: $45,000 - $48,000 / year dependent on experience

Q UALIFICATION - EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :

•Minimum requirement Associate degree and/or at least three (3) years experience in Human Resources Administration. Team-player with ability to maintain confidentiality. Organized and professional demeanor. Computer competency.
