Job Description Summary
The focus of the International Logistics Coordinator is to coordinate, manage, problem-solve, and work cross-functionally in support of import/export shipments/packing for Parts, Warranty, Spares, and/or Depot Container and Engines.

Ability to do and perform roles and responsibilities of a Domestic Logistics Coordinator, and additionally the following:
  • Communicate well in person, through email and phone with cross-functional departments, suppliers, and customers.
  • Candidates will be responsible to send status updates daily to the CSM and Customers on orders ready to ship (Pre alerts)
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, project management, packers, planning, sourcing, manufacturing and/or engineering for processing documentation in preparation of shipments for both inbound/outbound.
  • Schedule shipments and/or obtain electronic export approval from Customer and Border Protection thru Automated Export System (ACE).
  • Responsible for parts and materials classification, data collection, and requests management - required to work with 3rd Part Compliance team and Engineering to obtain ECCN and HTS classifications.
  • Create/Approve invoices (Commercial, Intercompany Invoice, and/or proforma), packing slips, and other documents required to package and/or export parts - required to create docs using Oracle Foxtrot tool and/or manual templates.
  • Strong knowledge of Global countries and Importation requirements.
  • Collect data (ECCN, Schedule B, Drawings and BOMS); run reports, update performance metrics and send daily/weekly report out.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, buyer, or Quality to obtain part Country of Origin, Manufacture, and net weight - required to export data from Oracle Foxtrot into Excel for validation and entry.
  • Responsible for best shipping method to meet customer delivery needs including; courier selection, cost, delivery schedule, communication, and required documents in support of transportation and/or packaging for export of goods.
  • Utilize required systems - including Oracle, OTM, E-Matrix, Automated Export System (ACE), Trade Via for Schedule B/ECCN classifications, Smart Sheet, E-BOL, 3PL systems, Micro Soft Office (Strong Excel).
  • Follow compliance for international laws and regulations and understand and apply appropriate country codes.
  • Research Suppliers and/or Manufactures for the support of International orders.

Eligibility Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of two years experience in International export/import shipments
  • At least 1-2 years of experience with Air Freight
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English language with Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desired Characteristics:
  • 3+ years hands on experience with Importation/Exportation
  • 1-3 yrs. experience filing AES/SED within US Customs system
  • 1-3 yrs. Inventory/Manufacturing experience
  • Previous Freight Forwarder background or experience highly preferred
  • Display computer literacy in shipping software tools, Microsoft Office (Advance Excel) and Oracle
  • Ability to solve complex export scenarios
  • Change management focused for process improvement
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull at least 40 lbs.
  • PPE required (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, etc.)

The pay for this position is $25.99/Hour. This position is also eligible for 4% Aero Alliance Bonus.
