The Department of Medicine at University Hospitals is seeking a Lead Midwife and clinician for our St. John Medical Center location. This site welcomes approximately 800 babies per year in a level II community setting.


We join you in our excitement with the St. John Medical Center location as it is undergoing a major cosmetic upgrade and a level II NICU. We service a high percentage of under-represented minority women in Cuyahoga and Lorain County and are committed to providing the highest quality of personalized care and eliminating the maternal and infant disparities that exist due to structural systems of oppression.


The lead position offers a 10% offset for administrative duties for the service. The lead will report to the System Chief of midwifery to ensure quality care with the midwifery team while overseeing scheduling, monthly meetings, quality metrics and innovation with increasing volume on the west side. The lead will also take part of call and office time 90% of their time. We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, shares in our leadership promise and has team building skills.

Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must meet Certified Nurse Midwife qualifications for the State of Ohio licensure


•Five years of current experience as a CNM in a full scope setting


•Current BLS and NRP certification
