JOB SUMMARY Perform assembly to meet same day or one day lead time customer orders. Optional overtime is available.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Comply with all safety and quality regulations and procedures (ISO 9001).
- Move, store, and control inventory to and from stockroom and manufacturing to assure proper storage and inventory control.
- Safe use of auto bagger and shrink wrap machines and PPE requirements as needed.
- Verify and count materials picked to work orders and materials match.
- Update SAP work order transactions.
- Willingness to take direction from peers to execute tasks to meet customer deliverables with urgency.
- Problem solving experience and confidence to resolve discrepancies or ask for assistance.
- Be trained to provide basic shipping function including releasing customer deliveries.
- Cooperate with the planner and resolve priority concerns.
- Provide back up support as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Demonstrates initiative and self motivated to perform in a highly visible position.
- Good communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to verbally communicate priorities and concerns with the planner and shipping.
- Ability to become certified to operate material-handling equipment (such as cherry picker, etc.)
- Ability to understand and use basic math skills in addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in an environment with variable conditions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - SAP experience preferred (transacting work orders or shipping).
- Shipping experience preferred.
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred with a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- Use of a computer is required; SAP.
- Material handling experience preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Specific PPE is required within the cell.
