aerospace client is looking for a
Manufacturing Assembler who will performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations.
Location: Oxnard, CA 93030
Position: Manufacturing Assembler Pay Rate: $24.75/hr. on W2
Duration: 12 months or longer
Schedule: 9/80
Responsibilities :
- Performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies.
- Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
- Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
- Swiss-army knife type technician position.
- Technician could end up performing any number of tasks. Examples of the kind of tasks are as follows: assembling large tooling structures, using two-part epoxies for bonding, assembling small/delicate mechanical flight hardware, working with and assembling composite structures, sewing/stitching mesh fabric.
- Using assigned work instructions and assembly drawings to perform an assortment of Technician tasks. Knowing and understanding how to read blueprint type assembly drawings is a big plus.
- Overtime, weekends, off-hours are all in play.
Requirements :
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience with all common mechanical hand tools.
- Knowledge and experience with fasteners and torquing mechanical fasteners.
- Ability to read and understand blue-print style mechanical drawings.
- An ability to learn quickly, follow instructions, ask questions and fit-it within a "team" working environment is most important.
