Pay: $23 - 25/HR

 

Job Description:

Join us for an exciting opportunity as a Certified Medical Coder at our location in Phoenix. We are seeking a flexible, compassionate, and professional individual to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. The Medical Coder will play a crucial role in claims coding, billing review, policy setting, and staff education.

 

Duties Include:

Assigning correct codes and sequencing per government and insurance regulations

Reviewing claims for compliance with coding guidelines and best practices

Verifying and ensuring accuracy of billable services by reviewing patient charts, claims, and policies

Providing training and support to claims team members and practitioners on billing procedures and coding requirements

Recommending and implementing strategic protocols for coding review and modifications

Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Compliance and Contracting

Staying updated on coding requirements and best practices through external trainings and meetings

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  • Certification in medical coding and billing (CPC Certification required)

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in RCM medical coding

  • a background in behavioral health

  • Previous experience with NextGen or similar EHR preferred

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

  • Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
