Job Description
LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Coding Auditor to join our team in Idaho. You will play a key role in conducting chart reviews to ensure accurate risk adjustment reporting. Your responsibilities include verifying the accuracy of diagnosis codes and identifying trends in provider coding and documentation. This role is essential for maintaining high standards in our risk adjustment processes and collaborating with Provider Education Consultants to implement improvement strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct chart reviews to ensure accurate risk adjustment reporting and verify diagnosis codes.
Identify trends in provider coding and collaborate on intervention strategies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay informed on regulatory mandates.
Mentor junior staff and support special projects, such as risk mitigation reviews.
Qualifications:
Experience in chart reviews for risk adjustment and strong knowledge of ICD-9-CM/ICD-10 Coding Guidelines.
Analytical skills to identify and address coding trends, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Associate degree in Healthcare or related field, with three years of clinical coding or auditing experience.
Required Coding Certification: CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-P.
Preferred experience in Risk Adjustment, HCC, or Inpatient coding.
