Summary
Our Network and Systems Engineer position requires both proven hands on experience with technology and outstanding personal communication skills. You should enjoy building solutions that leverage technology to meet a client’s business needs. You would be directly responsible for determining and recommending technical solutions to meet system performance, regulatory compliance and other business requirements of our customers. The position works jointly with engineering, sales and customer service to provide site visits, gap assessments, discovery meetings, implementation and ongoing support. A positive, service-oriented personality is a must.

Network and Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects from design to implementation. Provide experience and communication skills necessary for quality project management.
  • Prioritize incidents, service requests and project tasks according to defined processes to meet defined SLAs.
  • Configuring, trouble-shooting, administrating and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, Exchange server and Active Directory
  • Ability to configure, administer & implement: DNS, and DHCP Servers.
  • Good knowledge in domain migrations, consolidation projects and migrations tools
  • Experience in system recovery and restoration and backup products and solutions
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components throughout various network infrastructure devices.
  • Implement and monitor network security solutions. 
  • Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to aid in resolving support requests.
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
  • Ensuring company safety and security standards are met.
  • Participate in after hours/on-call rotation
Network and Systems Engineer Requirements:
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems including Windows 10, Server 2012, Server 2016, Server 2019, Linux and Mac OS.
  • Preferred experience with deployment and support for Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Azure and Active Directory administration
  • Office 365 administration experience.
  • Knowledge and understating of networking devices and appliances.
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management like Kaseya, Datto, or Connectwise a plus
  • Valid Driver License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
  • CompTIA A+ and/or CompTIA Network+ preferred
