Dean's Professional Services is now hiring a qualified Nutrition Assistant to work for a Hospital Facility in Bryan, TX.

The Nutrition Assistants are responsible for assisting in meal planning, preparation, delivery, and monitoring patients' nutrition-related needs while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation.

Job Duties :

• Help prepare and serve meals to patients, making sure the food matches their diet needs and preferences.
• Deliver patient meals on time and follow their specific diet plans.
• Teach patients and families about nutrition and diet restrictions based on the dietitian's advice.
• Help prepare special diets as directed by the doctor and dietitian.
• Keep track of patient food preferences, allergies, and restrictions, and share this info with the kitchen and medical team.
• Make sure food and supplies are handled and stored safely.
• Work with the medical team to meet patients' nutrition needs.
• Keep the work area clean and follow health and safety rules.
• Properly store and label food items and supplies.
• Help clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow safe food handling practices.
• Do other tasks as assigned by the Nutrition Manager or Dietitian.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent - Required
• Food Handlers Certifications - Required
• 2+ years of previous therapeutic diets and food preparation in a hospital or clinical setting - Required
• Knowledge of basic nutrition principles, dietary restrictions, and therapeutic diets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of a 12-hour shift, including standing for long periods and lifting moderate loads.

Job Details:

• Schedule/Shift: 12-hour shifts, which may include day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Starting at $18/Hr. (based on experience) + benefits.
• Full benefits: healthcare, dental, vision, and 401k program.
