Selectek is looking for a Piping Designer in the Alpharetta, GA area. This person will perform the design of piping systems, general equipment layouts, P&ID's and conduct field walkdowns for chemical plants. Required: 5+ years of experience Piping Design (industrial / process) AutoCAD proficiency in 3D (Plant3D) Ability to read P&ID's Job Order Details: Outside of piping design and general arrangement work, the candidate will be required to walk into the plant from time to time to take field measurements (this will require flame retardant clothing). This person will read P&ID's and draw piping systems. The design work will be both conceptual and for modifications. Some of the work will deal with the detailing of concrete foundations and structural steel supports. The structural work is not required but is a plus for this role. Pay range: $40/hour - $50/hour ($83,000 - $104,000 annual salary) Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm Pay method when direct: Salary (pay straight time for OT) Hours & Shift: Typical week is Monday - Thursday, 9 hour days, Friday – 4 hour days (remote on Friday). Flexible with the hours, core hours are 7:00am - 6:00pm Work from home: yes, on Fridays Working remote: no Overtime: possible at times Travel: Yes, to do field walkdowns, every other week, 1-2 times per week.
