Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Systems Engineer OR Principal Systems Engineer Integrated Functional Capability (IFC) Support role to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.
The selected candidate will work with the Systems Engineering Lead to meet program milestones and manage the technical baseline.
Essential Functions:
The selected candidate will work with associated IPTs to develop and execute program plans in accordance with system and segment level requirements. The candidate will manage the project execution rhythm, coordination and reporting activities to ensure that all external requirements are completed on time. They will manage supplier activities and serve as a primary project Point of Contact for the project to customers and key suppliers. Other responsibilities include understanding of all system requirements, and developing statements of work, specifications, and interface control documents. The successful candidate will also lead the associated IPTs in preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, conducting and participating in all related design reviews, and serving as a technical liaison to the cross-functional team.

Basic Qualifications :
· Basic Qualifications for Systems Engineer (Level 2) : Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline with 2 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 0 years of experience.
· Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Engineer (Level 3): Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline with 5 years of experience, Master’s degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 0 years of experience.
· An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance for consideration and Strike program access.
· Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) prior to start.
· Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation.
· Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in leadership role on Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
• Experience in Cost/Schedule Integration, EVMS and CAM responsibilities.
• Experience in proposal development.
• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
• ACTIVE ATDC PAR
