Principal Scientist – Dairy Innovation

Location: Battlefield, MO (Relocation Assistance Available)

Compensation: $90K–$125K + 15% Bonus

Travel: 15–25% (1–2 times per quarter)

A leading innovator in the dairy and flavor industry is seeking a Principal Scientist – Co-Drying & Dry Blending to join their team. This confidential opportunity is ideal for a progressive, hands-on technical expert with a strong track record in dairy flavors, natural & processed cheese solutions, and seasoning development.

As the subject matter expert (SME) in co-drying and dry blending , you will play a critical role in pioneering new product innovations , working with cutting-edge ingredient combinations , and shaping the future of dairy-based solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead R&D initiatives in co-drying and dry blending, focusing on dairy, seasonings, flavors, and other functional ingredients.
• Innovate in agglomeration and instantization of powders, ensuring exceptional product quality and performance.
• Drive new product development from concept to commercialization, leveraging deep expertise in dairy science and flavor technology.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to develop next-generation dairy-based products.

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of R&D experience in the food, dairy, or biological sciences industry.
• Proven expertise in co-drying, dry blending, and flavor development.
• A track record of leadership —either direct team management or strong leadership attributes.
• A history of successful commercialization of new products or solutions.
