POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a motivated, highly organized individual to serve as a senior clinical interviewer to assist the investigators with the asthma education school-based research study.

• Interview potential study participants for selection into the study
• Schedule participants for asthma lessons for parents and children with asthma either remotely or in person as per study protocol procedures
• Revise and develop asthma lesson material and other study-related materials as needed
• Gather available community resources
• Collect and enter data, maintain appropriate documentation, and prepare reports
• Assist with recruitment of study subjects and survey completion
• Communicate with schools and healthcare providers
• Assist with other study-related tasks or other asthma studies within the team as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma and at least 2 years of administrative support experience is required. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• *** Bilingual English / Spanish proficiency (written and oral) required ***
• Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook. May use other web based programs as assigned
• Able to work/travel out in the community
• Must demonstrate good judgement, initiative, and attention to detail
• Knowledge of asthma and research is preferred

The Senior Clinical Interviewer will work on the team of Dr. Marina Reznik. Dr. Rezniks current asthma-focused research includes Evaluation of the Asthma Management Program to Promote Activity for Students in Schools (Asthma-PASS) (R33HL147908), evaluation of health care provider practices in prescribing spacer/holding devices for children with asthma, assessment of pharmacy availability of spacers and education provided by the pharmacists, and development and feasibility of physical activity program for children with asthma.
