Sierra West Airlines - Local Certified Flight Instructor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide flight instruction to student pilots in accordance with established curriculum and training procedures.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight briefings to ensure students have a clear understanding of lesson objectives, flight maneuvers, and safety procedures.
• Demonstrate and teach flight maneuvers, such as takeoffs, landings, climbs, descents, and emergency procedures, both in the aircraft and through the use of flight simulators.
• Evaluate and assess student performance, progress, and readiness for solo flights and certification exams.
• Develop personalized training plans for students based on their individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles.
• Monitor and track student flight and ground training records to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and program standards.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students, offering constructive feedback and encouragement to enhance their skills and confidence.
• Stay updated on aviation regulations, safety protocols, and instructional techniques through continuous professional development.
• Collaborate with other flight instructors and aviation professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Promote a culture of safety and adherence to standard operating procedures among students, emphasizing the importance of situational awareness, decision-making, and risk management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a Current CFI 
• Current First Class Medical
• 300 hours TT
  
• 20 hours ME 
• Unrestricted valid Passport and authorized to work in the US.
  
• Effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented, creates an inclusive and motivating work environment.

• MEI Holder
