George Moore Chevrolet started serving the Jacksonville area in 1986. In 2010, we opened in a new location at 10979 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32225 in the heart of the Arlington automotive community.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The intern will be creating and managing multiple social media accounts, developing content to inform, educate and engage the brand’s audience to increase awareness and achieve marketing goals. An exceptional candidate will have a working knowledge of the major content management systems and social media analytics, and be experienced in running targeted ads on social media sites.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Content creation — Helping to film and edit our weekly social media segments. Our segments get in front of 10,000 to 20,000 viewers each time, so we take pride in what we post. It is important to us that the content we create is meaningful and impactful.
• Social Media Management — Assisting with scheduling posts, tracking followers, gaining followers and tracking the latest social media trends.
• Videography — Done all via I-phone, the intern will utilize their smartphone to help shoot stories, social media segments, care walk around videos for customers and videos for staff videos.
• Video editing — Edits will be done via Adobe Premiere Pro. Video editing is not necessity for this position. If the intern has no experience with this, the supervisor is willing to teach them. The intern will completely be responsible for making sure the stories are done on time.
• Storytelling — The intern will help pitch stories for the dealership to cover for our social media segments. The intern will have a clear vision for each story and help create a short package style video that will help capture followers’ hearts and minds. 
• Marketing — The intern may sit in on meetings with our marketing firm. Our firm helps produce Facebook and YouTube ads and targets certain areas and households for maximum views. The marketing team breaks down exactly who sees our content and how we reached them. (There may be an opportunity for the intern to sit in on and help film commercials for the dealership at some point during the internship.)

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Enrolled in a college program related to public relations, social media, digital communications, journalism, or another related field. 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Internet research skills
• Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google, TikTok
• Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and Twitter Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance
  
• Experience with content management systems, word processor applications and image/video editing software
