Key Responsibilities - Partner with Assay Development to influence assay design, enhancing the probability of success in automation.
- Assess designs against specifications and address any issues that arise.
- Apply PPI continuous improvement tools to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Develop and refine protocols for seamless integration of new assays into existing workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless implementation of new technologies in forensic laboratories.
Key Competencies - Experience in qPCR and sample preparation, preferably in forensics.
- Expertise with sample prep, robotics, and capillary electrophoresis instrumentation.
- Proven critical thinking skills and the ability to seek innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including effective meeting facilitation.
- Demonstrated project leadership abilities and a track record of successful project completion.
- Ability to resolve priorities and make decisions aligned with strategic objectives.
Education and Experience - PhD, M.S. with 4-6 years of experience, or a B.S. degree with 8 years of experience in molecular biology or a related field.
- Experience in forensics is highly desirable.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest advancements in forensics.
Compensation and Benefits The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $120,000.00-$160,000.00.
