Our client in Tonawanda, New York is looking for a Technical Writer to join their growing team! Our partner is growing in the Aerospace and Defense field and is adding to staff due to their accelerated growth!

This is an on-site/full-time/direct-hire position.
Salary based on experience: $65k-$75k depending on experience!



Position Overview:
The Technical Writer will be responsible for creating comprehensive and user-friendly documentation, including manuals, guides, and procedures, that support our manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.



Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and manufacturing teams to gather information and insights for technical documentation.
• Develop clear, concise, and accurate user manuals, operating procedures, and technical guides for manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Translate complex technical information into easily understandable and accessible content for a diverse audience, including operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
• Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
• Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for various manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand product specifications and updates, incorporating this information into documentation.
• Conduct reviews and audits of existing documentation, updating content to reflect changes in processes or equipment.
• Collaborate with safety and compliance teams to integrate safety procedures and guidelines into documentation.
• Maintain version control and document change history for all technical documents.
• Provide support in the development and implementation of a documentation management system.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker).
