Job Details
Warehouse Supervisor
Reports to: VP of Operations
OVERVIEW:
Perform functions to plan, coordinate, and manage production, material handling, shipping and receiving activities to ensure that product is properly stored and customer orders are processed and shipped in accordance with planned schedules, job specifications, and planned profit objectives. Perform all warehouse functions as needed. *This role will be responsible to supervise 2 warehouse employees.
KNOWLEDGE:
Thorough knowledge of warehousing, production, maintenance and management
methods.
Knowledge of Steel and Wire products.
Equivalent to high school plus broad specialized training equal to 2 or more years of college.
EXPERIENCE:
Looking for 4-5+ years warehousing/distribution experience.
COMPLEXITY OF DUTIES:
A wide variety of duties. Perform functions to plan, coordinate, and manage production, material handling, and shipping and receiving activities to ensure that customer orders are processed and shipped in accordance with planned schedules, job specifications, and planned profit objectives. Considerable judgement is required to ensure continuous and efficient flow of warehouse operations controlled by precedent and within limits of established policies.
