Our insurance industry client is searching for an Accounting/Finance/Treasury Manager for their office located in Southwest Houston. This role will manage day-to-day accounting, finance, and treasury functions reporting directly to the Director of Accounting, Finance, and Treasury. The position will initially be on-site, but can eventually turn hybrid and the salary range is $100,000-$110,000 per year plus discretionary bonus.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting, finance, and treasury functions, including accounts receivable, client trust accounts, vendor accounts payable, and general ledgers (Sage Intacct).
• Prepare account reconciliations, record adjusting and correcting journal entries, assist with allocation and reporting of shared employee payroll (Paycom), and preparation of internal financial statements for primary and affiliated entities.
• Assist with preparation and electronic filing of state regulatory reporting including quarterly and annual insurance premium tax returns.
• Assist with periodic budget preparation and analysis (Sage Intacct).
• Work with and prepare documentation for independent external auditors performing interim and year-end financial and statutory procedures.
• Assist with development, implementation, and analysis of accounting, finance, and treasury policies and procedures.
• Assist with implementation and maintenance of new cloud-based agency management system, integration with accounting and reporting system (Sage Intacct).
• Assist with other accounting, finance, and treasury projects as identified.

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• Licensed CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 7+ years of accounting and supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Property and casualty insurance experience a plus.
• Sage Intacct GL, Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel, and Paycom skills a plus.
