This position requires clinical participation at the World Trade Center Health Program's clinical sites in Commack and Westbury. Approximately 50% of the work effort will be devoted to patient care and administrative duties and 50% will be devoted to clinical and translational research. Administrative duties include general oversight of various aspects of the World Trade Center Health Program. Clinical activities are directed toward the clinical manifestations of the toxic exposure at the World Trade Center disaster. Participation in clinical programs involving both the identification, treatment and monitoring of WTC responder related problems is necessary.
Required Qualifications:
MD (or equivalent). Board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Preventative Medicine or Occupational Medicine.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong internal medicine background with experience working in a research academic center. Experience with clinical or laboratory research is desirable.
