About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their Executive Leadership Team. The CFO will be a key strategic partner, working closely with the Board and the President to ensure the financial well-being and long-term sustainability of the organization. This role demands a dynamic, hands-on leader with a high EQ, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in nonprofit financial management. The CFO will be responsible for all aspects of financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance with federal and state regulations. They will also lead a finance team, providing mentorship and guidance, and will be expected to demonstrate agile thinking and strategic planning to support the organization's growth and stability. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a CPA or MBA. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial management role within a nonprofit organization with a budget of at least $15M is required. The CFO must be proficient in financial systems, preferably NetSuite, and have a strong background in nonprofit fund accounting and best practices. Impeccable leadership skills, the ability to mentor and manage a large team, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to financial management are essential. The successful candidate will be adept at working with diverse stakeholders and be capable of providing strategic financial advice to advance the organization's mission.
