Amotec is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Manager for our industry leading manufacturing client, located in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The EHS Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations by inspecting work areas, raw materials, and employee practices. This role will drive improvements in workplace safety, manage environmental permits, and spearhead training programs to promote a culture of health and safety within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and monitor safety programs, identifying ways to enhance health and safety across the site.
  • Oversee facility air, water, waste, and spill programs, including permit renewals, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting.
  • Investigate accidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and conduct OSHA-compliant training on environmental, health, and safety procedures.
  • Lead safety meetings, drive employee engagement, and foster a proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Federal, State, and local EHS regulations, ensuring the site’s continuous compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Safety Management (or related field).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy manufacturing setting.
  • Proven expertise in OSHA and EPA regulations, with a track record of successful safety program management.
