POLICY AND PROCEDURE WRITER


Our client is a rapidly growing company located in Hillside. They are a leading organization specializing in best practices and policy development. They are dedicated to delivering exceptional services and solutions to their clients. They are seeking a skilled POLICY WRITER to join their team.

Job Title: Policy and Procedure Writer - interested in becoming involved with compliance work

Job Type: Full-time, Temp-To-Hire

Work Schedule:
Monday and Friday- remote/work from home once trained - 8:00AM-5:00PM
Tuesday-Thursday - in office 8:00AM-5:00PM

Pay Rate: $20-$25/hr.

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a talented Policy Writer with a strong focus on creating detailed and precise policies that support controls noted for related compliance guidelines. This role may also be asked to completed Statements of Work (SOW) and other company documentation. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The main responsibility is to ensure that company policies are clear and easy to understand by employees and clients.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including project managers, legal, procurement, and technical teams, to gather necessary information and ensure that SOWs are comprehensive and aligned with project goals.
  • Ensure that all written documents, including policies and SOWs, are clear, concise, and free of jargon, while effectively communicating complex ideas and requirements.
  • Research and analyze industry best practices and incorporate them into policy documents to ensure they meet current standards and requirements.
  • Maintain a consistent tone, style, and format across all written materials to reflect the organization’s voice and brand.
  • Review and edit documents for grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company and client guidelines.
  • Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and project needs.
  • Assist in the development of templates and guidelines for SOWs and other policy documents to streamline the writing process and ensure consistency.
  • Provide writing support for other policy documents, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work, and guidelines, as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Policy Writer, Compliance Specialist, or in a related role, preferably within a regulated industry.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of grammar and syntax.
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with legal and compliance requirements related to policy and contract documentation is a plus.
