Job Description

Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) is working with a leading manufacturer who is in need of a Process Engineer to join their team. This role will be contracted through WRS as a nested third party employee.

The Process Engineer is responsible for managing capital projects and supporting plant operations through troubleshooting and process optimization. This role focuses on small to midsize capital improvements, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze data, conduct experiments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process-related issues.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, acting as both process and project engineer when needed.
• Prepare and update engineering calculations, equipment specifications, and technical documents required for project development.
• Develop and revise control narratives for process changes and new capital projects.
• Specify and evaluate project-related equipment, ensuring proper selection and application.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation, including scope, budgets, schedules, and vendor materials.
• Provide regular project progress updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in PHA/HAZOP reviews and collaborate with Safety and Environmental teams to address regulatory compliance.
• Lead project commissioning efforts and provide technical support to achieve project milestones.
• Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve medium-level process issues.
• Assist senior staff with more complex technical challenges.
• Build a deep understanding of plant processes and unit operations to optimize performance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
• 3-10+ years of engineering experience in chemical plant design or chemical manufacturing environments (RMP/PSM experience preferred).
• Hands-on and field-oriented, with strong decision-making and initiative.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient troubleshooting and project management skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards, equipment, control systems, and regulatory requirements in chemical manufacturing.
• Familiarity with engineering or project management software and the ability to perform manual calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
